D.I.Y. Beanie

D.I.Y. Beanie

What You’ll Need:

  1. An old sweater, shirt, or some type of cloth

  2. A hot glue gun (or if you’d prefer to sew it, that’s fine too)

  3. Any kind of gems, studs, or lettering you’d like to add to your hat to personalize it

Step 1: Lay out you sweater/cloth and outline two oval sized shapes

Step 2: Cut out the 2 half ovals from your sweater/cloth (cut them a bit bigger, you’ll see why in the later steps.)

Step 3: Put the sides the will be on the outside, face up (this way, when you flip it inside-out when you’re done, it’ll be right side out)

Step 4: Hot glue around the rim of the two pieces (avoid the space where your head will go), and push them together (the 2 pieces that will be the inside of the hat should be facing up)

Step 5: Wait until it dries (this should only take a minute or two)

Step 6: Flip your hat inside out and you’re done! You’ll see that now that you’ve flipped it inside out, it looks like a seam.

Addition Step (optional): hot glue/iron on gems, stones, or lettering to personalize your new, unique hat!
